SUBARU REWARDS PROGRAM TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Rewards
SUBARU BUCKS accepted for Genuine Subaru Parts and Genuine Subaru Accessories purchases.

Subaru Bucks are redeemable toward the purchase or lease of any new Subaru vehicle in addition to the purchase of Subaru service and Subaru parts or Subaru accessories at any of the Subaru authorized dealers, and are earned by making purchases with the Subaru MasterCard from Chase (the “Card”).

Cardmembers earn Subaru Bucks in the following manner: Cardmembers earn a 3% rebate on every purchase of goods or services. Every time a cardmember has accumulated at least $100 in cash-value rewards, a Subaru Bucks certificate in $100 increments will be sent to the cardmember. Monthly accrued rewards in excess of $100 may receive a combination of coupons that equals the total amount of rewards earned. Subaru Bucks expire if not redeemed within four years from the date of issuance. All accumulated rewards expire upon termination of the Card account, whether by the cardmember or Chase, or if the Card is not used at least once in twelve consecutive billing cycles. Rewards are earned on purchases after deducting applicable credits and adjustments. Your Card account may be charged for rewards previously applied if the related merchandise is returned or a credit is issued for a related purchase.

Restrictions

· Subaru Bucks can be earned worldwide and may redeemed toward the purchase or lease of any new Subaru vehicle in addition to the purchase of Subaru service and parts made at any authorized Subaru dealer located in the Continental United States, including Alaska. Rewards are not earned on balances transferred to the Card, cash advances (including ATM and check transactions), finance charges, late fees, overlimit fees, returned check fees, or if an account is closed (either by Chase or the cardmember) or not in good standing on the statement closing date.
· Up to five (5) $100 Subaru Bucks certificates may be earned each year (for the purposes of this limitation, “year” is defined as each twelve month period beginning with the day and month the Cardmember account was established until the day before the same day and month of the following year).
· Subaru Bucks will only be mailed to the Primary name listed on the account.
· Card accounts must be in good standing to accrue and receive rewards.
· Chase reserves the right to disqualify any cardmember from participation in the rewards program, to eliminate all rewards and to invalidate all SubaruBucks for abuse, fraud or any violation of the Program Terms and Conditions.
· Rewards are not the property of the cardmember, and cannot be bought, sold or transferred in any way (including upon death or as part of a domestic relations matter).
· Rewards are not redeemable in cash, do not constitute credits to the Card account, and cannot be offset against the cardmember’s obligations to Chase.
· No change will be tendered on the unused portion of a SubaruBucks certificate.
· The Cardmember is not entitled to compensation from Chase or any other entity if Subaru Bucks are lost, forfeited or terminated for any reason.
· Determination of any tax liability of a cardmember relating to rewards is solely the responsibility of the cardmember.
· Chase is not responsible for disputes involving joint cardmembers or authorized users relating to rewards.
· These Rewards Program Terms and Conditions are not part of your Cardmember Agreement and may be amended, added to, or discontinued (including terminating the rewards program or eliminating the right to redeem rewards) at any time without notice at Chase’s discretion.
· Void where prohibited by law.

"Spokes Skunk" Reveals a Sparkling New Spot with Outback Detergent


Cherry Hill NJ, September 30, 2009 -- Subaru of America, Inc. has debuted a unique communication to support the launch of the company's 2010 Subaru Outback. The work features an infomercial on Outback detergent and a spokes skunk.

The infomercial, showing on www.outbackdetergent.com, is a parody of the advertising usually seen on retail selling television channels and highlights the ways owners of the all-wheel drive Subaru Outback use their vehicle to its fullest capabilities, and get dirty as they lead their active lives. With a wink to the prowess of many home shopping channel products, the spot shows how Outback detergent can remove even the toughest of stains in an amazingly short time. Listing its powers, Outback detergent promises to rid clothes of: cricket foam, pond scum, tree sap, squirrel residue, fish xslime, volcanic ash, musk, raccoon prints, Russian dressing and aggressive perspiration. Visitors to the website can discover how to obtain their own bottle of the uniquely-formulated, environmentally-friendly detergent from their local Subaru dealer.

"Stinky" the spokes skunk was hired to bring a touch of the great outdoors to the commercial. Speaking from his studio trailer after filming, Stinky said: "I was thrilled to work with such a great outdoors brand as Subaru. There aren't too many roles for a working cartoon skunk since the days of the great Le Pew, so when this role came up I leapt at it. I am used to seeing Subarus on the trailheads where I live so I felt very at home with the brand. I hope to have the chance to work with Subaru again as long as I can work on controlling my scenting."

Coined as disruption marketing and developed by Subaru of America's agency of record, Carmichael Lynch of Minn., the infomercial is designed to expand the reach of the brand and will run in stores, on-air, on www.subaru.com and in targeted direct communication.

Kevin Mayer, director of marketing for Subaru said,"We wanted to extend the brand's reach while highlighting the core values of Subaru and also the Outback model. We have put in a lot of groundwork to significantly increase the consumer awareness of Subaru over the past 18 months and we are now taking this opportunity to break out and enjoy the brand's breadth a little bit, while at the same time getting our message across. We'd also like to reassure Stinky that his scenting wasn't too much of an issue during filming -- nothing that white vinegar and a mop couldn't fix anyway."

Stinky's voice coach was celebrated animation voiceover artist Billy West of Futurama and Ren and Stimpy fame. His wardrobe artist and stylist was J.J. Sedelmaier, animator for Saturday Night Live.
